As a life long sufferer of poor skin due to eczema, I can tell you that this stuff works wonders! I use it once a week on my entire body and twice a week on areas where I am prone to ingrown hairs. This scrub reduces my skin swelling from eczema almost instantly. It also has significantly reduced the amount of ingrown hairs caused from shaving. Sean has an ever so precious beard so we have yet to try it on a man's face after shaving, but I would assume it would help there too! 

 

So whether you have sensitive skin or healthy skin, this will help soften and brighten your complexion. Since it is pretty abrasive, I would suggest testing it on a small area of your skin before scrubbing an entire area. How To Use

  • Thoroughly cleanse the skin you would like to exfoliate

  • While the skin is wet, rub the organic scrub on your skin in a circular motion. Focus on problem areas if you have any.

  • Let the scrub sit on your skin for a few minutes

  • Rinse your skin and enjoy the silky smooth results

(WARNING- This scrub contains coffee which can stain. Be sure to wash the shower, tub, or sink down thoroughly so you don't have any residue left behind.)

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup Organic caffeinated coffee grounds

  • 1/2 cup Organic coconut oil (melted)

  • 1/2 cup Organic sugar

  • 2 Tbsp Course sea salt

  • 1 tsp Organic cinnamon

 

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Combine coffee grounds, melted coconut oil, sugar, salt and cinnamon in a bowl

  2. Stir to combine

  3. Store in a container with a lid

 

NOTES

To help reduce kitchen waste - you can use spent coffee grounds from your morning coffee pot

Recipes are never rules!

Use your judgment; if you've made it before and it has worked by shaking not stirring, try it! If the recipe says something will brown after 12 minutes in the oven and your's hasn't browned yet, leave it until you think its brown enough.

Taste, taste, taste!

Any good chef will tell you to taste your food multiple times as you cook. Stick your spoon in and see if it tastes good. Is your food seasoned well? Can it use more salt or pepper? Would you like it if it were a bit sweeter? Everyone's palate is different, if you think it needs something; Go for it!
